History:
In May of 1996, Visa U.S.A. and Total System Services , Inc.® (TSYS®) (NYSE: "TSS") joined forces and launched Vital as an independent, stand-alone company that offers complete commerce enabling services for Merchant Service Providers. Vital, a limited liability corporation, has an independent management team and a separate board of directors including two members each from TSYS and Visa, as well as Vital's CEO.
