Verifying U.S. Citizenship and Employment Eligibility

 

Instructions:

 

Employees of the Transportation Security Administration must be both a United States citizen and be eligible for employment in this country. During the assessment process, applicants, in order to receive an employment officer, must establish their U.S. citizenship. Subsequently, at the orientation session, new employees will be asked to establish their employment eligibility and complete the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (INS Form 1-9).

 

To verify U.S. Citizenship and employment eligibility, individuals must provide one or more of the documents listed on the reverse side of this form as follows:

 

·          U.S. citizenship: one of the documents identified in numbers *1, *2, or *3 under list A; or numbers *2, or *3 under List C.

 

·          Employment Eligibility: one document from List A, OR one document from List B AND one from List C.

 

Applicants who are invited to attend an “Assessment Center” must bring with them the document(s) that verify their U.S. citizenship and their employment eligibility. Please understand that no one will receive a job offer without first establishing that he or she is a citizen of the United States.

1. Drivers license or IR card issued by a state or U.S. possession provided it contains a photo or information such as name, date of birth, gender, height, eye color and address
