Over 20 years ago, a group of seniors grew frustrated by how difficult it was to get quality medical care and personal care services. So they decided to form a not-for-profit organization so seniors just like them could receive these services conveniently and affordably.

Together with a group of experts in medicine, gerontology, psychology and social services they formed a grassroots organization they called Senior Care Action Network, now known an SCAN Health Plan. Today, SCAN Health Plan provides seniors with the widest array of health care and personal care services available with the ultimate goal of helping them maintain their independence.

SCAN is an organization of dedicated people making a unique and significant contribution to seniors’ ability to remain healthy, independent and in control of where they live and how they live.

SCAN offers it’s employee’s medical, dental, vision and an employee assistance program. Also, as an employee of SCAN, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, AD & D Insurance are 100% paid by the employer. Employees are provided the option of enrolling in Supplemental Life Insurance, a Tax Deferred Annuity and after 1 year of service a Defined Contribution Pension Plan. Value-Added benefits SCAN provides include Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Spending Plan, Discounted Entertainment Tickets, Credit Union Membership and Direct Deposit of Pay Check.

SCAN Health Plan service areas include Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Orange Counties. SCAN does not pay for relocation.
