Copley Memorial Hospital was incorporated in April 1886. The hospital is dedicated to meeting the needs of its community, patients, staff and physicians by providing the highest quality health care in an efficient, resourceful manner.

After decades serving the community from its downtown Aurora location, in 1995, a new 142-bed Copley Memorial Hospital was built to serve a growing western suburban and Fox Valley area. Today, the Rush-Copley Medical Center campus is home to Copley Memorial Hospital and its six key patient centers: Cancer Care Center, Emergency Center, Physical Rehabilitation Center, Rush-Copley Heart Institute, Surgery Center and Women's Health Center.

The campus - dedicated to health, wellness and education is home to Children's World Learning Center, a children's day care facility; Waubonsee Center at Copley, a satellite facility of Waubonsee Community College; and the Rush-Copley Healthplex, a fitness and athletic club for people of all ages.

In 1980, Copley joined the academic network of Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, Chicago, and, in 1987, affiliated with the Rush System for Health. The affiliation provides a link to new treatments, cutting-edge technology and research focused on improving patient care - all of which are rare in a community hospital setting.
