The first Shoe Carnival opened in 1982 and the company went public in 1993 (trading on the NASDAQ under the symbol SCVL). It has since expanded to 300+ stores. We have been recognized as the Footwear Retailer of the Year and Forbes 200 Best Small Companies in 2001 and 2007, respectively.

Career Development
Each Shoe Carnival associate has access to an extensive library of training programs. Our goal is to build on a “culture of training” centered around our unique business concept. This training includes, but is not limited to, the following:
