CATCH THE NEXT WAVE IN AGING HEALTH CARE.
Providing adequate care, programs, resources and support for America's aging population has become an exceptional challenge in the 21st century - and nowhere more so than in Philadelphia, which has a larger percentage of seniors than any of the 20 largest cities in the nation.
WHO ARE WE
The Philadelphia Corporation for Aging (PCA) is a non-profit agency established in 1973 to serve as the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for Philadelphia County. With a stated mission to improve the quality of life for older Philadelphians, our staff work together to help Philadelphia seniors in all walks of life achieve optimal levels of good health, independence and productivity. Among our many support services are long-term care programs (including Long-Term Care Access, Options, Waiver, In-Home Care, and an Ombudsman Program), and community programs (including Health & Nutrition Programs, Senior Centers, Employment Services, Legal, Protective and Transportation services).
AN EXCEPTIONAL LIFESTYLE
Fewer cities anywhere offer the unique lifestyle advantage Philadelphia. Often called "the world's largest small town", you'll discover a friendly, small-city atmosphere in what is actually one of America's largest cities. Here, you'll enjoy all the theater, shopping, restaurants, museums, and culture you'd expect from a major metropolis. Nearby, are New York City, Washington, DC, Atlantic City and the Jersey Shore each offering endless possibilities for entertainment, culture and night life. Within two-three hours are the Pocono mountains, the Delaware Watergap, and the Amish country.
