We have a subsidiary, Sampson Coatings, located in Richmond, VA. HISTORY: Penn Color, Inc., as it exists today, was originally founded in 1964. The business and its management team began its development when Edgar Putman formed PFD Plastics in Flemington, NJ. Since that time, Mr. Putman developed and acquired a number of businesses including Penn Color, Inc. of Doylestown, PA; American NuColor, Inc. of Manville, NJ; Sampson Coatings, Inc. of Richmond, VA; East Coast Laboratory, Inc. of East Brunswick, NJ; Custom Chemicals Corp. of Elmwood Park, NJ; RBH Dispersions of Bound Brook, NJ; and Penn Environmental and Remediation Services of Hatfield, PA. Penn Color has been fortunate enough to grow in excess of twenty (20) percent annually for many years.
