The Utilities Department provides drinking water, wastewater treatment and reuse, garbage disposal and recycling services. The preservation and enhancement of Orange County's precious natural resources is always a foremost concern of the Utilities Department. Our accomplishments have been recognized through awards from both state and national organizations, such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

We believe in quality services through teamwork in harmony with our customers and the environment.

Our Divisions

Water:
The Water Division provides the drinking water supply for unincorporated Orange County, the Town of Windermere and portions of several other municipalities in Orange County through the operation and maintenance of water treatment systems, transmission systems and distribution systems.

Water Reclamation:
The Water Reclamation Division provides service to unincorporated Orange County and portions of several municipalities in Orange County through the operation and maintenance of wastewater collection and transmission systems, pump stations, water reclamation facilities and reclaimed water systems.

Solid Waste:
The Solid Waste Division is responsible for providing efficient and effective solid waste management services in Orange County. Orange County operates the largest publicly owned and operated landfill in Florida. In addition to the Landfill, the Solid Waste Division also operates household hazardous waste facilities and solid waste transfer stations. The division is responsible for managing the residential garbage, yard waste and recycling collection program for single-family homes in unincorporated Orange County.

Construction:
The Construction Division completes the construction phase of projects within our service area.

Engineering:
The Engineering Division of the Orange County Utilities Department provides long range planning, design, review, construction and management of water, wastewater and water reclamation projects within our service area.

Customer Service:
The Customer Service Division serves as the primary point of contact for our customers regarding service issues, meter reading, billing and collection of revenue.

Fiscal and Administrative Support:
The Fiscal and Administrative Support Division provides internal support to the Director's Office and the other divisions within the department in the areas of financial management, accounting, warehouse and procurement services, information technologies, public information, safety administration, human resources and agreements management.
