Founded in 1995, New Century Financial Corporation is a real estate investment trust (REIT) and one of the nation's largest non-prime mortgage finance companies, providing first and second mortgage products to borrowers nationwide through our operating subsidiaries. We offer mortgage products designed for borrowers who generally do not satisfy the credit, documentation or other underwriting standards required by conventional mortgage lenders and loan buyers, such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. During 2003, New Century's total loan production reached $27 billion. Production is expected to exceed $40 billion in 2004.
