In 1909, in a small apartment in Paris, a young French chemist Eugène Schueller started a company that would change the face of beauty forever. A chemist, a researcher, an inventor - a visionary of his time, Eugène Schueller sought to combine the worlds of science and beauty, and to develop innovative products that effectively responded to consumers’ needs. Over the last century, the small family business has grown into the world’s leading cosmetics and beauty company with more than 67,000 employees present in 62 countries and products distributed in 130 countries.

With its rigorous scientific approach, its ongoing quest for innovation and quality, together with a powerful strategic vision, L’Oréal has been able to make beauty accessible to men and women around the world.
