RARE Hospitality International, Inc., publicly traded on the NASDAQ (Rare), will operate over 200 restaurants by the end of 2002, including 176 Longhorn Steakhouse restaurants, 22 Bugaboo Creek Steak House restaurants, 16 Capital Grille restaurants and 2 additional restaurants, Hemenway’s Seafood Grille & Oyster Bar and The Old Grist Mill Tavern. Analysts estimate that 2002 company sales will exceed $615 million.

RARE Hospitality International, Inc. was founded by George McKerrow, Jr. in 1981 with the opening of the first Longhorn Steakhouse Restaurant on Peachtree Road in Atlanta. The company, formerly known as LongHorn Steaks, Inc., went public in 1992, and in 1996 acquired Bugaboo Creek Steak House, Inc., which included the Capital Grille and Bugaboo Creek Steak House concepts.

The RARE Hospitality International, Inc. Support Center, located in Atlanta, GA, provides services such as human resources, training, purchasing, marketing, facilities, construction, accounting, information technology and culinary support.

Our Restaurants

Longhorn Steakhouse restaurants are casual dining, full-service restaurants that serve lunch and dinner, offer full liquor service, and feature a menu consisting of fresh steaks, bourbon marinated salmon, shrimp, chicken, ribs, chops and prime rib. Longhorn Steakhouse restaurants emphasize high quality, moderately priced food and attentive, friendly service in a casual atmosphere. Longhorn Steakhouse restaurants are located in 20 states, primarily in the Southeast, Midwest, Mid Atlantic and Northeast.

The Capital Grille restaurants are located in major metropolitan areas across the United States. These restaurants offer a fine-dining atmosphere and a menu including appetizers such as chilled baby lobster and beluga caviar and entrees of prime steaks, lamb and veal steaks, lobster, grilled salmon, chicken. Their extensive wine list includes over 300 selections.

Bugaboo Creek Steak House restaurants are located primarily in the northeastern and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Designed to resemble a Canadian Rocky Mountain Lodge, Bugaboo Creek Steak House restaurants offer seasoned steaks, prime rib, spit-roasted chicken, smoked back ribs, a variety of freshwater fish and grilled salmon.
