CRMD designs, manufactures, and supports state-of-the-art devices to treat bradycardia (debilitating slow heartbeat), tachycardia (life-threatening fast heartbeat), and other cardiac rhythm disorders. Principal facilities are located in Sylmar and Sunnyvale, California; Scottsdale, Arizona; Pickens, South Carolina; and Veddesta, Sweden. At these sites we carry out research and development activities and manufacture top-quality electrical stimulation products and product components: PacesetterÒ brand pacemakers to treat bradycardia, VentritexÒ brand implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) to control tachycardia, leads to connect these pulse generators to the heart, programmers to communicate with our implanted devices, hybrid elements that constitute the "brains" of our pacemakers and ICDs, and unique capacitors for ICDs.
