Background and Products: Since 1947 ILC has been active in the development of products balanced across both government and industrial needs. Then, as today, most ILC products are comprised of fabric and film softgoods materials - our primary area of expertise. ILC's products fall into four primary groups:
ILC Dover, Inc. is wholly owned subsidiary of ILC Industries, Inc. which has annual sales over $150 million. ILC Dover actively participates in programs with DoD, NASA, and various federal agencies as well as aerospace and industrial firms. Products developed and manufactured by ILC include airships and radar-equipped aerostat envelopes; float systems for marine applications, air-inflated decelerators and weapon ejection aids; flexible containment systems for the pharmaceutical industry; airbags for planetary landings, and Space Shuttle extravehicular (EVA) space suits. An emerging technology in which ILC is leading, is inflatable, rigidizable space structures for ultra-lightweight trusses to support very large orbiting radar platforms. ILC Dover Facilities & Capabilities ILC Dover's 280,000 square foot facilities are spread among six buildings on 35 acres of land.
