1st Financial Bank USA is a FDIC insured, state chartered financial services organization headquartered in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota.

Originally founded in 1910 as The Farmers State Bank, since 1991 the Bank's principal activity has focused upon the credit card industry. Since that time, the Bank has grown to rank among the top 50 domestic VISA/MasterCard credit card issuers.

The Bank maintains processing centers in Dakota Dunes and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. These bank sites perform all underwriting, customer service, payment processing, and collection functions for the credit card portfolios. These locations also provide financial and technical support to the operation.

Our Dakota Dunes facility is part of an attractive planned community, with a southeastern South Dakota location. It is located only 100 miles from Omaha, Nebraska and 75 miles from Sioux Falls. Sioux Falls was ranked the #1 city in which to live according to Money Magazine. There is no state income tax in South Dakota, and at both locations we enjoy the luxury of not fighting big city traffic. For those with families, these communities are great places to raise children and they are in easy access of popular recreational areas including Lake Okoboji and Lewis and Clark Lake.
