DRT's current focus is the development of advanced receiving equipment capable of processing a variety of modern wireless protocols
Company History DRT, formerly known as Utica Systems, Inc., was formed in 1980 to serve the needs of the communications surveillance community. During its twenty-year history, the company has developed a solid reputation for DSP-based communication equipment design. Until 1997, the company had been primarily engaged in developing portable FDM/FAX/modem processing gear. After a change in management, the company expanded efforts to include wireless equipment design. To better reflect the technology focus of the company, the company's name was changed to Digital Receiver Technology, Inc. DRT moved from Frederick to Germantown, Maryland, in April 1998. DRT's current facility consists of over 68,000 square feet of office, laboratory, and manufacturing space. DRT has grown to approximately 130 employees in the past five years. Products are market-driven, and customer service is a priority. Regardless of the application, the goal is to satisfy customer requirements, and provide financial and professional growth for employees through development of advanced, state-of-the-art products. DRT continues to serve the communications reconnaissance market with state-of-the-art, DSP-based equipment; however, DRT is also expanding into the market for wireless test and measurement equipment.
