Datascope Corp., headquartered in Montvale, NJ, manufactures proprietary products for clinical health care markets in interventional cardiology, anesthesiology, critical care, and cardiovascular, vascular and general surgery. Datascope conducts business through four operating divisions, Cardiac Assist, Patient Monitoring, Collagen Products and InverVascular. Datascope's Cardiac Assist product is an intra-aortic balloon pumping (IABP) system used in the treatment of cardiac shock, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia, and in cardiac surgery and coronary angioplasty. Patient Monitoring products measure a broad range of physiological data including blood oxygen saturation, airway carbon dioxide, anesthetic agent concentration, arterial and venous blood pressure, cardiac output, ECG and temperature. The Collagen Products Division manufactures and sells the VasoSeal Vascular Hemostasis Device. VasoSeal is a collagen-based device capable of quickly sealing the puncture wound that provides access to the femoral artery in catheterization procedures. VasoSeal is the first device of its kind to receive FDA approval. InterVascular Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Datascope, produces a broad line of knitted and woven vascular grafts.
