Rady Children’s Hospital is San Diego region’s only designated pediatric trauma center and the only area hospital dedicated solely to pediatric care. This year, Child Magazine honored Rady Children's as one of the top 25 children's hospitals in the nation. With more than 200 children's hospitals in the U.S., the honor places Rady Children's among the very best. In addition, our Orthopedics Team was ranked among the nation's top five pediatric orthopedic departments. Rady Children's has embarked upon the most amazing and ambitious new projects in our 53-year history. These projects include building a new five-story, 350-million-dollar Acute Care Pavilion and bringing selected clinical specialty programs to national and international prominence. In addition to caring for children at our main campus in Kearny Mesa, Rady Children’s has 15 neighborhood centers offering primary care and specialized services. Children’s is also active in numerous community outreach programs, including health education, early intervention and counseling, child abuse prevention and child safety issues.
