Products and Services Primary Industries: Services: CableLabs provides cable research and development services to its membership, including DOCSISTM and eDOCSIS (using interoperable cable modems and cable modem termination systems "CTMS" to provide cable services), OpenCableTM (software and hardware modules enabling plug-and-play receivers and other equipment), PacketCableTM (multimedia services including VoIP supplied over Internet Protocol platforms), and CableHomeTM (provides home networking connectivity with superior performance and ease of installation). Opportunities Types of Positions: Join the CableLabs team as we shape the next generation of cable. CableLabs is seeking highly motivated individuals with one or more of the following skill sets: Experience with one or more of the following: state of the art processor and memory technology, MPEG encoding/decoding, conditional access/Internet access authentication and Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)/Thin Client technology. Experience in cross platform product integration for cable television equipment. Minimum qualifications for these types of positions: BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related technical field; experience in cable or computer industry preferred.
