Advanced Bionics evolved from the second largest cardiac pacemaker company (Pacesetter Systems, Inc.) and the world's largest manufacturer of implantable and external insulin pumps ( MiniMed, Inc ). The company's experience in implantable prostheses and electronic miniaturization has influenced the direction and advancement of innovative neurostimulation research and device design. Advanced Bionics employs over 350 scientists, engineers and professionals at its two Southern California corporate campuses.
